Justin's Story
Justin Hayslett is the co-founder (with his wife, Alaya) and managing director of Legacy Refuge, a global nonprofit helping orphans find faith, healing, and purpose. Passionate about missions, leadership, and coffee, Justin launched Filtered Hope, a barista training program for aging-out orphans, and Legacy Rising, a leadership initiative for young changemakers.
He’s lived and served in Europe, Ukraine, and Africa—evacuating orphans during war, starting a ministry center in Spain, and building a global movement.
Through The Legacy of Yes, he urges others to exchange comfort for calling and build a Kingdom legacy. The Haysletts split time between Minnesota, Spain, and their global programs.

IMPACT ORPHANS, CHANGE EVERYTHING
Justin Hayslett, alongside his high school sweetheart and wife of twenty years,
co-founded Legacy Refuge over seven years ago. Originally launched in Ukraine,
the organization has now expanded to over seven countries, impacting hundreds
of orphans every year.
Legacy Refuge impacts orphans through summer and winter camp programs and
through Filtered Hope—a program that equips aging-out orphans and vulnerable
youth with specialty barista skills, life skills, and the Gospel.
The organization also invests in the next generation of orphan care leaders
through Legacy Rising & Baristas on Mission, leadership development programs
based in Spain that combine intensive training with hands-on missions
experiences serving orphans and vulnerable youth across the globe.
